Tasked with directing and producing a brand documentary for Peeva, a Ghanaian bottled water company under Feenam, I set out to tell the real story of where the brand has come from and the distance it still intends to travel in pioneering manufacturing excellence in Africa. The film was built for the people who matter most to that journey: stakeholders who needed to see the brand’s history and its ambition in the same frame. From early hardship to the operation Peeva has become, every act of the film was shaped to communicate resilience and intent. The documentary went on to screen at the Ghana Manufacturing Awards night, where Peeva took home Emerging Brand of the Year and Best Growing Manufacturing Company of the Year for 2026.
Feenam had a story most brands would kill to have but hardly anyone on the outside knew about it. The company started way back in 2011 out of the CEO’s mom’s garage, delivering water and beverages for other brands. Two bicycles. An infrastructure warehouse that almost brought it all down with its collapse. Followed by a resurrection into Lesfam Place, an award-winning distribution center working with NestlĂ©, Unilever and Bel, and by 2024, a manufacturing plant for Peeva Beverages.
Feenam appeared to be just where it got to, not where it came from. The task was to present the story and vision side by side.
A five – act film built around all the stages the company and its founders have gone through to get to this point. The spine of the narrative came from the Head of Operations, who lived every chapter of this story. Because the early years existed as still photographs, each one was animated with AI tools Kling & Seedance. This turned a 2011 origin story into a cinematic piece that feels like it was intentionally filmed even in 2011.
Screened at the Ghana Manufacturing Awards night, where the brand took home EMERGING BRAND OF THE YEAR and BEST GROWING MANUFACTURING COMPANY OF THE YEAR, 2026, shown in the room on the night that rise was recognized.
